Hello Everyone!
I hope you all are doing well. This is not an easy time for anyone.
I know some of you would love to engage in the “Does the Federal or the State government have the right to require me to wear a mask?” or the “Does a mask actually do anything?” but I don’t invite drama here. (Waiting for the flaming I received in my EXO Facebook post (see my previous blog post).) For those of you not in the US, you may have similar questions. Again, no politics here. I’m also not discussing legal matters here. Debate by yourselves or engage a lawyer for advice.
Though this I will say. For those of you who go out and do not wish to wear a mask, if you go in somewhere (ex: a store) and an employee tells you that you must wear a mask or other face covering to be in the store, please don’t give that person a hard time. That person is doing his or her job. There is no need to be cruel to that person. There is no need to be rude. That person is likely thankful for the job and does not wish to risk losing it. I am sure that if you think about it, you may remember one of your earlier jobs you may have had, even an unpleasant one. Imagine being that employee.
You do not have to go to that store (or other business). With the exception of a few kinds of businesses*, you do not have an actual RIGHT to go in that store. As in you cannot just demand entry and believe that no one can deny you.
I am not a fan of using “you” in a post, but here I will make a rare exception.
Website and Blog Updates:
I am switching over to a new blog service. I have found some old backups of blog posts, so I have updated the blog to include those. I have updated already recovered entries to the correct date and time. There is a big gap – 2009 to 2011. Some of the posts listed under 2011 may have come earlier, but I don’t have the right date and time for them.
I edited and deleted some entries due to spoilers I included. I decided not to spoil some surprises coming up.
I will be updating my website next. Note that my story published in Elfwood’s Woodworks, A Modern Medieval (Picture Perfect), is no longer available at that website as Elfwood is now offline. It is currently available in my blog here or on FictionPress.
I may update a bit more this year. I seem not to be receiving as much unwanted attention from those “certain person(s),” but I would not be surprised if one or more of you are reading these words.
Sorry readers if it sounds strange, but such “unwanted attention” is a reality that some people face.
It reminds me of many years ago when Battle Angel Alita was first was in production (or at least in planning). I sent in my information for an audition, and a friend warned me what might happen should I get that role. All that attention from the manga/anime fanboys. Possibly a small reference to (insert reference to the “mature” related material here). Kids, please don’t ask what I just hinted at.
Thanks again everyone for visiting my blog and stay safe!
